The difference in women's football

Kirsten van de Westeringh part of NextGen Amsterdam’19

Kirsten van de Westeringh is one of the four talents that are part of NextGen Amsterdam this year. NextGen Amsterdam is the platform for the next generation of top athletes in Amsterdam and is an initiative of SportsGen and the municipality of Amsterdam. Talents with a link to the capital are put in the spotlights.

Twice before, an Ajacied was part of NextGen Amsterdam (in 2016 and 2018), but it was never a female talent. This year, Van de Westeringh has the honour.

Van de Westeringh: “It is a great opportunity and experience for me to be part of the NextGen campaign. I’ve already had a great shoot day and through this platform I get in touch with new people. Both with athletes who have the same ambition as me, and with the business community.

The three talents that will accompany Van de Westeringh this season are Hugo Vliese (freestyle), Alexander Vasquez (3×3 basketball) and Jessica Gorissen (judo).
